Welcome to Tuntutuliak, Alaska. Tuntutuliak is located about 50 miles south of Bethel and 50 miles north of the Bering Sea. Tuntutuliak is a tundra village of about 400 Yup'ik Eskimos. Most residents survive from subsistence hunting, fishing and berry-picking. There is one school, two churches and three stores and about 80 houses.
You will notice in the photo that Tuntutuliak is almost surrounded by water. There are no roads but there is a 10 foot wide boardwalk that connects all buildings. The major employer is the school. The village is run by the Qinarmiut Corporation. The zip code is 99680.

The Lewis Angapak Memorial School is a K-12 school with almost 100 students. The first three years that a sudent is in school, they are taught in Yup'ik. From about 9 years old until high school graduation, instruction is primarily in English.
